BOOMERANG, TOOMERANG, ZOOMERANG! I grew up watching "Mister Rogers's Neighborhood" and absolutely love the kindly host who was one of my few childhood friends. Gavin Edwards's book is a lovely exploration of Fred Rogers. I was fascinated to learn about his childhood, career and legacy. Affecionately written, this book includes a fascinating comparison between Rogers, Andy Warhol and George A. Romero, all of whom made art in the Pittsburgh area during the same generation. I was also moved to read the 10 life lessons Mr. Rogers imparted to his viewers. I really needed to read this book right now. It's a perfect gift for the holidays and will be one I return to again and again.
